I had on new clothes,
New sneaks on my feet.
I was there for the class,
Went to the back, took my seat.
Yeah, I'm moving up,
I'm already grown.
I'll be graduating soon
And out on my own.
I talked to some friends,
We were all having fun.
Said things I shouldn't have said,
Did stuff I shouldn't have done.
I knew I was different.
I felt God's touch on my heart.
I knew I should set a standard,
But then I'd be set apart.
As I walked to the bus
I was not that aware.
I heard the tires screeching
And I'm no longer there.
I'm standing in a room,
And I see Heaven's gate.
Oh no! I've never prayed.
I thought there was time to get straight.
An angel walked up,
He had a book in his hand.
It was the Book of Life.
When would this dream end?
I told him my name
And he began to look.
Then he frowned and he said,
"You're not in this Book."
Angel, this must be a dream.
I can't really be dead!
He closed the Book and turned away
Then whispered,"You can't go ahead."
No...no this can't be real,
Angel you can't turn me away.
Let me see Jesus,
Maybe He'll let me stay.
He led me to the gate,
Jesus came there meet me.
He didn't let me in, but said,
"Beloved, what can I do for thee?"
Jesus, I cried, Please,
Don't cast me away from you.
Tears ran down his face as He said,
"You knew what you needed to do."
Lord please, I'm too young,
I never thought I would die.
I thought I had plenty of time,
Death caught me by surprise.
Lord, I went to church,
Please Jesus, I believe.
He said, "You would not accept me,
My love you would not receive."
Lord, there were too many hypocrites,
They were not being true.
He took a step back and said,
"What's that got to do with you?"
Lord, my family claimed to be saved,
But they weren't real you know.
He said, "I died for YOU,
Now I have to go."
I fell on my knees and cried out to Him,
Lord, I planned to be real tomorrow.
Why couldn't I make Him understand,
I had never felt such sorrow.
Then it hit me hard and I said,
Lord, where will I have to go?
He looked at me and said through a tear,
"My child you already know."
Please Jesus, I said. I beg you.
That place is way too hot.
That seemed to trouble Him too
But He whispered, "I'm sorry, I KNOW YOU NOT."
Lord, I was always told you were love
How can you send me to damnation?
Then He replied, "You didn't really love Me,
You rejected my salvation."
Then, all of a sudden day turned into night.
I had never known such torture,
But now it's too late, the Bible was right
But I had failed to believe the Scripture.
If you learn anything from me
Please let it be this.
Don't turn your heart from God,
Because salvation you'll miss.
Hell is for real,
And it has no age.
It is a place of great torture,
And so filled with rage.
I thought it was funny.
But this one thing is true.
If you never accept Christ,
HELL IS WAITING FOR YOU!
Please, ask Jesus into your heart today. And please tell all your friends to do the same.
